Public high school in Jemison:

  • JEMISON HIGH SCHOOL (Students: 554; Location: 25195 HWY 31 Jemison, Alabama 35085; Grades: 9-12)
    Grades 8-12 are conducted at the Jemison High School facility. The current Principal is Allen Wilson and the Assistant Principal is Diane Calloway.
Public elementary/middle schools in Jemison:
  • JEMISON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL (Students: 891; Location: 1495 COUNTY ROAD 44; Grades: K-4)
    There are about 950 students enrolled. It ranks scholastically among the best of Alabama’s schools. In late 2006, the test scores at Jemison Elementary outperformed all but one school in Alabama.
  • JEMISON MIDDLE SCHOOL (Students: 663; Location: 25125 US HIGHWAY 31; Grades: 5-8)
    Grades 5-7 are conducted at this facility. Grade 8 is conducted in the High School building. The current Principal is Mark Knight and the Assistant Principal is David Seale.

  • CHILTON CHRISTIAN ACADEMY (Students: 191; Location: 23240 US HWY 31 in the Victory Baptist Church building complex; Grades: PK – 12)

All three County schools in Jemison have achieved the Federally mandated Annual Yearly Progress (AYP) for this past school term. Congratulations to our administrators, teachers, students and parents. Keep up the good work!
