Hi,

I am writing to inquire about the fee to connect to the sewer system in Jemison?
Is there a website, or link that I can use to find where the sewer system currently runs?

Thanks Danny.

Hi Danny, we haven’t published that information on the website yet as you have seen (or not seen as it were) but you are welcome to call the Jemison Water Authority during the business week to inquire further. 205-622-4492

Please visit City Hall at the front office and one of the ladies in the water department for the City are glad to assist you.

Hello Maxine, that type of waste pickup is always the last week of the month between about the 25th to the end of the month. The truck makes its rounds once through the City during that time period. So please prepare those materials near the street before those dates. Then it will get picked up during their route.

In addition, the City offers a special pickup of other types of household waste the last week in April of each year. Pretty much anything can be picked up then expect tires, paint, solvents, car/marine batteries and other hazardous material items.

I just moved here and was wondering how and where I go to get water turned on in my name? How much is the deposit?

Please contact City Hall at 205-688-4491 and choose the prompt for the Water Dept. They will be glad to get you setup.
