Municipal Court

Welcome to Jemison Municipal Court. This site is designed to explain the court process to you and answer any questions you may have and make your visit user-friendly. Please contact us if you do not find the information you need.

NOTICE: Due to the recent positive COVID-19 virus within the City Hall of Jemison and Governor Ivey’s proclamation extending the statewide “safer at home” health order, Judge Cleckler has issued an administrative order cancelling July court sessions. In addition, because of an order issued from Ben A. Fuller, Presiding Judge of the Circuit Court for the 19th Judicial Circuit of Alabama suspending person-to-person hearings through Friday, August 14, 2020, Judge Cleckler has suspended Jemison Municipal Court for the month of August. As you may not be aware, the Mayor and council have not opened the doors of city hall to the public.  Any in-person court business is done by appointment only.  Therefore should you need to see me directly, please call 205-576-6770 or email: in advance to schedule an appointment while we work through this process.
