Annual Tree Lighting CeremonyThursday, December 1, 2011 @ 6:00 p.m.The City of Jemison invites you to the Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Jemison Municipal Complex. This year’s ceremony will be held Thursday, December 1, 2011. The ceremony begins at 6:00pm with many fun and meaningful events planned.
5:00 – A Live Nativity 6:00 - The Lighting of the Tree The JHS Brass Ensemble will play and the Girl Scouts Jemison Troop 7012 will sing Christmas Carols 6:30 – An invocation before a meet-and-greet with the Mayor and fellow citizens of Jemison The Jemison PD Reserves will be selling homemade chili as a combo plate with a grilled cheese sandwich and a drink to raise money* for their department. 7:00 – The Jemison High School Concert Band will perform their Christmas concert in the Auditorium 7:20 – The Girl Scouts Jemison Troop 7012 and Cub Scouts Troop 74 will perform holiday skits 7:30 - Storytime with Grandpa! 7:40 – Family sponsorships for this holiday season AND pictures with Santa
